Description
A black and white photograph taken by Lawrence D. Heitt of the damaged to the Electric Auto-Lite office building during the Electric Auto-Lite Strike of May, 1934. Note the broken windows and torn draperies in the offices. When the Ohio National Guard was called on the scene of the strike, the strikers began to riot by throwing bricks and other debris at the troops. Rioting commenced on May 22 and continued until May 27. The rioting ended on May 27th and the labor dispute was settled June 1, 1934.
