Description

A black and white photograph taken by Lawrence D. Heitt of three troops from the Ohio National Guard as they rest in front of building 15 of the Electric Auto-Lite plant during the strike of May, 1934. The soldiers are sitting with a Browning Machine Gun used to repel rioting by strikers who damaged factory buildings by throwing rocks and other debris. The rioting ended on May 27th and the labor dispute was settled June 1, 1934.
